Yaniv – SPONSOR NIGHT – Ann Arbor Jewish Film Festival

Come celebrate the closing night of the Ann Arbor Jewish Film Festival with a
modern comedy, Yaniv! The film tells the story of a Jewish high school teacher
in the Bronx who runs his school’s theater program. When he loses funding for
his theater program, he convinces his friend – who is a fellow teacher and
recovering gambling addict – to help him fund the program through cheating at
an underground card game run by the Hasidic Jewish community. Help, hope, and
connection to Judaism all find our protagonist in unexpected ways!
This film is also part of our Sponsor Night, with a celebratory dinner for all
of our Film Sponsors and their guests before the movie. We are so grateful for
your generous support and look forward to celebrating you and the Film
Festival! If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please reach out to the
JCC’s Director of Development, Marci Sturman, at marcisturman@jccannarbor.org.
**Dinner at 6:00 pm** in the **Morris Lawrence Building Lobby**.
**Film at 7:00 pm** in **Towsley Auditorium** (in the Morris Lawrence
Building).
While the dinner is exclusively for Film Festival Sponsors and their
guests,**the film is open to the public**. We hope to see you there!
