The Jewish Federation of Greater Ann Arbor is our community’s center for philanthropy, engagement and community-building – an energetic network of organizations, programs, and services that maintain and sustain our Jewish community.
By making a gift to the Jewish Federation of Greater Ann Arbor, you enable us to take care of the most vulnerable members of the community and transform the lives of people in Ann Arbor, Israel, and in more than 70 countries around the world. Your gift makes an impact for people at all stages of life. You give the gift of a Jewish summer camp experience to young children and provide young adults away from home for the first time a warm Shabbat experience. You ensure our elderly, including Holocaust survivors, are cared for and enable our partners are able to act quickly in times of conflict and natural disaster. Annual Community Campaign & Women's Campaign
We need a strong local Jewish community in order to effectively respond to global needs. And to do that, we need to ensure we respond to local Jewish needs.
The Annual Community Campaign ensures our local partners can provide the programs and services needed to build and sustain an engaged and connected Jewish community.
The Annual Community Campaign ensures Federation is able to lead the community in addressing vital communal needs including: security, addressing antisemitism, supporting Israel and other global communities in crisis, community relations – representing Jewish communal issues and concerns in the broader community, and planning for the future.
Please consider making your gift or pledge by December 31.
LiveSecure Campaign
The LiveSecure Campaign supports community-wide security efforts. With the rise in antisemitism, everyone deserves to feel safe in Jewish spaces. That’s where LiveSecure comes in.
Through the LiveSecure fund, Federation hired the Ann Arbor area’s first Community Security Manager in spring of 2023. The Security Manager promotes best practices and collaboration among local Jewish organizations and works with law enforcement to respond to local antisemitic incidents.
Begun in spring 2023, LiveSecure is a 3-year 1:1 matching grant in partnership with Jewish Federations of North America. Every dollar over and above a gift to the Annual Community Campaign gets matched through spring 2026. After the match ends, it is our community’s responsibility to continue supporting this fund in perpetuity.
To ensure our Jewish spaces stay safe, please consider a gift to LiveSecure by clicking the button at the top of the page.
For more information or to discuss a security endowment, please contact Rachel Wall at rachel@jewishannarbor.org.
Federation-Specific Giving
If you’d like 100% of your gift to support the work of Federation, instead of being allocated to our partner organizations through the Annual Community Campaign, consider a Federation-specific gift.
Gifts specifically to Federation support programs like JCRC (Jewish Community Relations Committee), NEXTGen A2, Women’s programming, Israel-related programming, and community planning.
