Alden Solovy – Three Practices of Gratitude: A Path to Personal Redemption

April 11, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDT

The daily practice of gratitude can open our eyes so wide that we can see the potential for good, even when that goodness hasn’t yet arrived. The ability to see ‘the good that is not yet’ can be developed with three gratitude practices: “Seeing the Good,” “Speaking the Good,” and “Praying the Good.” Liturgist Alden Solovy, author of This Grateful Heart: Psalms and Prayers for a new Day, will guide this exploration, leading to how gratitude can lead to personal redemption.

Alden Solovy spreads joy and excitement for prayer. A liturgist and poet, his work has been used by people of many faiths throughout the world. He’s written more than 750 pieces of new liturgy, offering a fresh Jewish voice, challenging the boundaries between poetry, meditation, personal growth, storytelling and prayer. He’s a teacher, a writing coach and an award-winning essayist and journalist. Alden is the 2019-2020 Liturgist-in-Residence at the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies.
