Yom Hazikaron Commemoration Event

April 20 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm EDT

Israeli Memorial Day Commemoration for the Greater Ann Arbor Community
יוֹם הַזִּכָּרוֹן Yom HaZikaron
Please wear white shirts
Ceremony will be followed by a song circle

This year, our Yom HaZikaron ceremony carries a broader meaning.
We gather — as we do every year — to honor the memory of Israel’s fallen
soldiers and the victims of terror. But this year, we also turn our gaze to
Jewish communities around the world, where Jews have been targeted and killed
simply for being Jewish. Sydney, Washington DC, Manchester. Their names and
stories belong in our circle of memory too.
As a diaspora community, we know that the fate of the Jewish people is shared
— across borders, across languages and across generations.
We invite you to share these stories in our ceremony and commemorate a victim
of violence against Jews worldwide — whether they fell in Israel’s wars, were
killed in a terror attack, or were taken by antisemitic violence anywhere in
the world. https://forms.office.com/r/7Ku0EdHig6
