EMU CJS: Dan Fellner “From Curry to Kreplach”

Take a journey through the lens of a leading travel journalist to learn about some of the most interesting and off-the-beaten path Jewish communities around the world.  We’ll learn about Jewish life on five different continents in such fascinating places as Curacao, South Africa, Norway,  Vietnam, Barbados and three of the most historic synagogues in the United States.   This highly visual presentation will explore the survival and resilience of Jewish life in places you might least expect to find it.

Dan Fellner, the presenter, is an eight-time Fulbright Fellow who has taught journalism and communications at universities in Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia.  He has published more than 150 travel articles in such publications as the Jerusalem Post, The Forward, USA Today, Hadassah Magazine and the Arizona Republic.  All of his published work can viewed at DanFellner.com.
