Advance registration is required. \n**5:15-6 Intermediate Conversation** : This class is meant for people who are\ncomfortable carrying a conversation in Hebrew about mundane topics and are\nlooking to expand their vocabulary\, increase their confidence in speaking\nHebrew\, and gain an understanding of some language structures.\n**6:15-7:00 Prayer Book Reading:  **If you can read Hebrew and want to improve\nyour fluency\, speed and confidence\, this is the class for you! We will focus\non texts from the prayer book and the Jewish Bible\, dedicate some class time\nto discussing meaning and recurring vocabulary\, and learn some reading\nprinciples to help with fluency and pronunciation. We will focus on texts from the prayer book and the\nJewish Bible\, dedicate some class time to discussing meaning and recurring\nvocabulary\, and learn some reading principles to help with fluency and\npronunciation. We will use the book _Prayer Book Hebrew\, The Easy Way._ \nBeginning Conversation 7:15-8:00pm\nThis class offers a taste of modern Hebrew for Communication. Reading Hebrew\nis a plus but not a requirement. We will jump right into Hebrew and learn to\nintroduce ourselves\, ask questions\, describe things like our families\, our\njobs\, and other common topics. We may even learn to order in an Israeli\nrestaurant. Come dip your toes in this Modern-ancient language and roll some\nHebrew off your tongue! \nAdvanced Conversation 8:15-9:00pm.\nAdvanced Conversation: If you can carry on a conversation in Hebrew on various\ntopics\, this class is for you. Come join a relaxed and welcoming hour of\nHebrew only. He  most recently worked from Tel Aviv\nas a Middle East correspondent for Het Financieele Dagblad\, the Netherland’s\npremier business newspaper. His stories are known for holding the rich and\npowerful accountable. Gilad Halpern is a journalist and media historian. He\nhas recently completed a PhD at the University of Haifa’s Department of\nCommunication\, entitled “The Palestine Post 1932-1950: Journalism and Advocacy\namid Imperial Decline and Rising Nationalism”.
