When he loses funding for\nhis theater program\, he convinces his friend – who is a fellow teacher and\nrecovering gambling addict – to help him fund the program through cheating at\nan underground card game run by the Hasidic Jewish community. Help\, hope\, and\nconnection to Judaism all find our protagonist in unexpected ways! \nThis film is also part of our Sponsor Night\, with a celebratory dinner for all\nof our Film Sponsors and their guests before the movie. Join a\nstudy group (_va’ad_) with Mussar-trained facilitator Roann Altman to uncover\nhow we can transform our lives one step at a time. After leading groups for 13\nyears and a 6-year Covid hiatus\, Roann returns to bring wisdom from Mussar\nmasters for living a more meaningful and Jewish-based life. Participants are\nasked to purchase\, and bring to the first meeting\, the Mussar text _Everyday\nHoliness_ \, by Alan Morinis.There is no charge to participate in the group\,\nbut commitment to attend all sessions is required.
