DESCRIPTION:Meeting **twice weekly for 90 minutes over 8 weeks** \, our trained and caring\ncoaches\nlead **3rd – 6th graders** through our BRAND-NEW _Hello\, Bold Heart_\ncurriculum that\nexpands our evidence-based lessons and activities to equip girls to build\ntheir _Heart_\n _Power_ —the confidence to boldly share their thoughts\, ideas\, and feelings.\nThis\nseason\, they’ll **learn to use their voices** (even when they are nervous)\,\nand develop\n**life skills** like **resolving conflicts** with others\,**building healthy\nhabits** \, and **deepening**\n**their confidence**. Two\nexperienced practitioners will break down special education and\nnondiscrimination laws — and explain what recent federal changes mean for\nMichigan families navigating this vital area of law. Debra Chopp is a Clinical\nProfessor of Law\, Associate Dean for Experiential Education\, and the Director\nof the Pediatric Advocacy Clinic at the University of Michigan Law School. She\nhas been representing families on education-related matters for 20 years. Brad\nDembs is the Director of Education Counseling at the Schluter & Hughes Law\nFirm\, PLLC.
