The primary festival runs from**May 3 to May\n13** \, but stay tuned throughout the year for special events! \n**Doors Open at 6:00 pm  **\n**Film Starts at 6:30 pm  ** \n**Synopsis:** Khaled\, a 12-year-old boy from a Palestinian village\, is\nthrilled to join a school trip to see the sea for the first time. However\, at\nan Israeli military checkpoint\, soldiers declare his travel permit invalid and\nsend him back\, while his classmates continue on. Determined and heartbroken\,\nKhaled sets out alone to reach the sea\, despite not knowing the way or\nspeaking Hebrew. Debra Chopp is a Clinical\nProfessor of Law\, Associate Dean for Experiential Education\, and the Director\nof the Pediatric Advocacy Clinic at the University of Michigan Law School. She\nhas been representing families on education-related matters for 20 years. Brad\nDembs is the Director of Education Counseling at the Schluter & Hughes Law\nFirm\, PLLC.
