SUMMARY:Defining Antisemitism and Islamophobia: Lessons from UK Universities
DESCRIPTION:Seth Anziska\, University College London\n\n\nAn ongoing debate over the adoption of group specific definitions of racism and prejudice in UK universities raises vital questions for scholars and students of Jewish-Muslim Relations and related fields. How have the efforts to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) Working Definition of Antisemitism and the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Islamophobia shaped university responses to discrimination? To what extent can definitions of antisemitism and Islamophobia help remedy patterns of prejudicial behavior?
