Ben-Gurion Society

In 1948, David Ben-Gurion, the first Prime Minister of Israel, became the face of a great new generation of Jews. His single-minded passion for the Jewish people is as much a part of his legacy as is the State of Israel itself. Today, the Ben Gurion Society embodies that legacy. The Ben-Gurion Society (BGS) mandate is to recognize, thank and reward young (ages 25-40) who contribute a minimum of $1,000 to the Jewish Federation of Greater Ann Arbor Annual Campaign.

Mission Statement

In active partnership with the Jewish Federation of Greater Ann Arbor, YAD (Young Adult Division) is a network of socially conscious young Jews. YAD provides emerging leaders with social, cultural, educational and philanthropic opportunities and instills Jewish pride in taking responsibility for communities locally and around the world. Each of us wants to make a difference and together we speak louder. We share common goals, whether we’re professionals or grad students, just starting adult lives or married with children. YAD means “hand” in Hebrew and our hands shape the future. Join us and be the change that creates a better world.
