Fact of the Week
UJC/Federation supports JDC’s Center for Independent Living (CIL), which serves the unique needs of Israel's 400,000 disabled adults. Run by and for disabled adults ages 21-65, centers in Jerusalem and Beersheva, serving 2,500 residents, are designed to help them participate fully in Israeli society while living at home. The centers offer peer counseling, advocacy efforts and support. Five additional centers will be established throughout Israel. Click here for details.
